The hospital bag. Every pregnant mama knows she needs to pack one. Most of us wait until 37 weeks and then panic. Here's your complete, no-stress checklist so you can pack with confidence — and actually find what you need when the moment comes.

💜 For Mama

Comfort & Recovery:

• Loose, comfortable robe or cardigan
• Soft pajamas or a nightgown (front-opening if breastfeeding)
• Cozy socks and slippers
• Nursing bra and breast pads
• Comfortable underwear (pack extras — trust us)
• Toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, face wash, toothbrush, deodorant
• Hair ties and headband
• Lip balm (labor rooms are dry!)
• Snacks for labor and recovery
• Phone charger and portable battery
• Insurance card and ID
• Birth plan (if you have one)

Going Home:

• A comfortable going-home outfit (think loose, stretchy — you'll still look pregnant)
• Flip flops or easy slip-on shoes (swelling is real)

👶 For Baby

• Going-home outfit (one size up from newborn, just in case)
• Swaddle blanket
• Hat and socks
• Car seat (installed before you leave for the hospital!)

👨 For Your Support Person

• Change of clothes
• Snacks and drinks
• Phone charger
• Pillow (hospital pillows are not it)
• Entertainment for the waiting game

A Few Pro Tips

• Pack your bag by 35–36 weeks — babies don't always wait for their due date
• Use a rolling bag or backpack so your support person can carry it easily
• The hospital will provide most medical supplies — don't overpack
• Take the mesh underwear. Seriously. Take all of it.
